A subsidiary to operation Forrest. A cordon and search of Xa Ngai Giao military area, (Duc Thanh) by 2RAR, 7RAR, A Sqn 3Cav, 1 Fd Sqn Engineers.
In direct support was 4 Fd Regt at a FSB YS4473 just south of Binh Ba close to the old “Broken Hill” position.

Theatre grid was taken by traverse from Nui Dat to the Binh Ba FSB.
23. b) On 23rd Dec, 106 Bty established a FSPB in YS4471. Theatre grid was provided by a traverse from Nui Dat (YS434675) into the FSPB.
